The experience of growing old is quite amazing which comes with maturity, grace, wisdom, experience, etc. But, it comes with various physical challenges as well. As we all know, as we get older for lot of people there is imbalance in psychological, physiological and emotional aspects. There are higher rates of depression, anxiety, stress, etc. along with diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, heart related issue, etc.

But, there is scope of healthy lifestyle with proper fitness and nutrition plan. The old age can be enjoyed to fullest with inculcating proper habits of exercise and food. Yoga is one of an activity which combines all the energies of the body and makes you stronger mentally and physically as well. Yoga helps in strengthening of your muscles and improving your body balance. Many yoga poses concentrates on improving balance and stability, which is essential at this age. Yoga improves the flexibility of joints which helps to reduce the pain. It also helps to improve the quality of the respiration with proper breathing practices called “pranayamas” as reduces the basic issues of blood pressure and anxiety. The practice of meditation helps you to be at peace and relaxed state of mind. Yoga Session for senior citizens are free of cost. It is a great form of art to have a healthy lifestyle at old age as well.
